Recognition is an integral feature of the Do the Write Thing project,
including the local recognition event hosted by Hon. Robert Eckels,
Harris County Judge and Chair of the Houston/Harris County site and the
State. The 2004 dinner honoring all Houston area school
finalists, their parents and teachers was in
Union Station at Minute Maid Park in downtown Houston.

Judge Eckels recognized and honored every one of the 122 school finalists,
